The attack of the night bullet and drones on Ukraine killed at least four people and hurt 20 others in Kiev, the mayor of the city of Vitali Klitschko said on Friday, when Russia aimed at at least six regions throughout the country with 407 drones and 44 missiles in one of the largest coordinated attacks of the three -year war.
A spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuria Ihnat, said that the dam embarrassed ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as a mix of strike drones and lures. Ukrainian forces said that they shot down about 30 cruise missiles and up to 200 drones.
Ukrainian cities have become a regular bombing since Russia attacked a neighbor in February 2022. According to UN, the attacks killed over 12,000 civilians.
The war lasted undamaged, even as a diplomatic pursuit of a settlement by the US brought two rounds of direct peace conversations between the delegation from Russia and Ukraine. Negotiations, however, did not provide significant breakthroughs, and the parties remain far from each other on their terms to end the fights.
Ukraine offered an unconditional 30-day arms suspension and a meeting of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin to break the deadlock. But the Kremlin effectively rejected the truce and did not push off his demands.
More retaliation expected on Sunday
Putin said in a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump at the beginning of this week that on Sunday he would react to a bold attack over a long distance of Ukraine to Russian air bases.
The night attack took place a few hours after Trump said that it could better allow Ukraine and Russia to “fight for a while” before they separated them and sought to peace, in the comments that were an extraordinary detour from Trump's often included in Trump's appeals to stop war.

In Russia, air defense shot down 10 Ukrainian drones heading towards the capital on the early Friday, said the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin. Flights at Moscow airports were temporarily suspended at night as a precaution.
The authorities reported that Ukrainian drones also directed three other regions of Russia, destroying residential buildings and industrial plants. Officials said that three people were injured.
Ukraine accused of sabotaging the railway network
The Ministry of Defense of Russia stated that air defense reduced 174 Ukrainian drones in 13 regions on early Friday. He added that the three Ukrainian Neptune missiles were also shot down on the Black Sea.
The locomotive also derailed on the early Friday in the Belgorod region after blowing up the track, said Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. Russia has recently accused Ukraine of sabotaging the railway network.

Dmytro Luminats, the head of human rights, called for a strong international response to the last attack of Russia's day, claiming that the assault violated the basic human rights.
“Russia behaves like a terrorist, systematically focused on civil infrastructure,” wrote Lubints on a telegram. “The world must answer clearly and take specific steps, including the condemnation of the aggressor's actions.”
3 rescuers killed in the attack in Kiev
The authorities reported damage in several districts in Kiev, and rescuers answered in many locations.
The Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine said that three rescuers were killed in Kiev, responding to the consequences of Russian strikes.
“They worked under fire to help people,” said the ministry in a statement.
A fire broke out in the Solomyanskyi district on the 11th floor of a 16-story residential building. Emergency services evacuated three people from the apartment. Another fire broke out in a metal warehouse.
Tkienko said that the metro traces between the two station in Kiev were damaged during the attack, but there was no fire or injury.
Electricity intervals
Over 2,000 households at the eastern Bank of Kiev remained without electricity on Friday after the Russian night attack, said the administration of the city of Kiev.
The number of people injured during a Russian attack on the western city of Ternopil early Friday increased to 10, including five rescue workers, said the regional governor of Viahaslav Nehod. The impact damaged industrial and infrastructure objects, left parts of the city without electricity and disturbed water supply.
Three people were injured in the central region of Poltava Ukraine after a Russian attack, which damaged administrative buildings, warehouses and cafe, said the regional head of Volodymyr Kohut. Fires caused by the strike were quenched, and debris also fell into a private house.
The Russian forces also hit the Khmelnytskyi region day by day, destroying a private residential building, building buildings, a fence and several vehicles, said Serhii Tiuryn regional governor.
Meanwhile, the air defense forces shot down three Russian missiles over the western LVIV region overnight, said the regional boss of Maksym Kozytskyi.
