The Samsung Frame series of TVs is one of the best solutions to integrate a giant display more seamlessly into your home. At CES 2025, the company will expand its Frame Pro lineup, a more advanced version of the TV that includes Samsung's latest Neo QLED panel. The catch is that we don't yet know whether Samsung is using a 4K or 8K panel here, and that choice will significantly impact the price of the Frame Pro when it eventually launches (Samsung hasn't revealed a price or release date yet). , in true CES style).
In addition to the panel, Frame Pro also uses the Samsung Wireless One Connect box, which allows you to stream content from consoles or set-top boxes to your TV without the need for a direct connection. Instead, you connect to the Wireless One Connect and it transmits the information to the TV, meaning you can do a much cleaner, cable-free setup, which is especially useful with a set like Frame.
It also uses Samsung's NQ4 Gen3 AI processor, an upgrade from the second-generation processor that Samsung used in some of its TVs last year. As is usually the case, we don't know exactly what this means for the TV, but given the number of pixels a modern TV needs to deliver, an annual upgrade makes sense. The NQ4 also hints that it could be a 4K panel rather than an 8K one, as the just-announced Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN990F TV uses the NQ8 processor – perhaps 4 or 8 is a hint at the TV's resolution. For those who haven't seen the Frame before, it's a TV designed to mount on a wall, with a frame that looks more like something you might find in an art gallery than a media room. When you turn it off, you can choose to have it display artistic images from a collection curated by Samsung, and the screen itself is matte with an anti-glare coating that goes a long way toward making it feel like just another big TV. to the wall.
