The parents said Edon remained weak, but doctors released him to release from the hospital where he was treated. He still still receives medical care for minor injuries suffered during the October 7 terrorist attacks, which his mother and dad said, “Nobody cared for these tunnels.”
Even the return of his freedom was a difficult test.
“Liberation Day was very tense for him,” said Father Oda CBS News. “It passed forever. They moved and crawled under him, and it was a very difficult day on him. “He's just glad to be home, you know, just sit with Mica and Roy (his siblings) and just hang out and just be with us and watch TV yesterday,” his parents said.

During the long captivity, Edon saw his parents in the news, asked for free.
