The UN says it has not yet been distributed in gas, although the trucks for help begin to cross the border after an 11-week blockade.
Israeli officials said 93 trucks went into gas on Tuesday, carrying help, including flour, baby food, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.
But the UN said, although trucks reach the Palestinian side of the intersection of Kerem Shalom, no help has been allocated so far.
His spokesman Stefan Dujaric said the team “waited a few hours” Israel to allow them to have access to the area, but “unfortunately, they failed to make these supplies to our warehouse.”
Israel agreed on Sunday to allow the “main amount of food” to enter Gaza, where global experts warn of an onset of hunger.
But international pressure on Israel continues to grow.
Thehe Britain said it would stop commercial conversations Above what he described as a “morally unjustified” military escalation of Israel in Gaza, with Prime Minister Sir Kayer Starmer describing the situation as “impatient”.
Meanwhile, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kalas said the block would review its trade agreement with Israel in the light of its actions in Gaza.
Dujarric said the help surgery was “complicated” because Israel requires the UN to “unload deliveries from the Palestinian side at the Kerem Shalom intersection and to recharge them separately after providing our teams from the Gaza tape.”
He added that the arrival of deliveries was a positive development, but he described it as “a decline in the ocean of necessary”.
The UN Eagles evaluate 600 trucks a day to begin to cope with the chronic humanitarian crisis of Gaza.
Earlier, the head of the humanitarian humanitarian Tom Fletch told the BBC that thousands of babies could die in gas if Israel did not put help immediately.
Speaking to the BBC Today program, D -n -Fletcher said, “There are 14,000 babies who will die in the next 48 hours unless we can reach them.”
When he pressed how he arrived at this figure, he said he had “strong teams on the spot” working at medical centers and schools – but did not provide additional details.
Later, the BBC requests an explanation of the figure from the UN Service for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), which states: “We indicate the imperative to bring deliveries to save approximately 14,000 babies suffering from heavy acute malnutrition in Gaza.
He pointed out a report from the Integrated Food Phase phase (IPC), stating that 14 100 serious cases of acute malnutrition are expected among children aged six to 59 months between April 2025 and March 2026.
The IPC report says this can happen for about a year – not 48 hours.
When pressed against the figures of a press conference, Unocha spokesman Jens Laerk said, “For now, let us say that we know from the fact that there are babies who are in an emergency life -saving need for those supplements that have to enter because their mothers cannot eat.”
“And if they don't get them, they will fall into death,” he said.
Last week, Hamas Health Ministry announced that 57 children had died of the effects of malnutrition in the last 11 weeks.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday welcomed Israel's decision to authorize some assistance in Gaza, telling the Senate Foreign Relations Committee: “We are glad to see that the aid is starting again.”
In response to a Democrat, who said the number of authorized trucks is too small, Rubio said: “I understand your opinion that it is not in enough quantities, but we were pleased to see that this decision was made.”
On Monday, the leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Canada issued a statement calling on the Israeli government to “stop their military operations” and “immediately allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.”
As part of his message today, the United Kingdom also issued sanctions on several prominent Israeli settlers and groups related to settlers.
Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas's cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 others were hostage.
At least 53 475 people have been killed in Gaza ever since, including 3,340 of the renewal of the Israeli offensive, according to the health ministry in the territory.
