Sony Bravia 7: Bravia 7 (7/10, WIRED recommended) is a stunning display, delivering brilliant brightness, natural colors and sophistication in every fine detail. Its biggest downside is poor off-axis viewing, which may be hard to swallow at the high list price. TCL QM7: There's only one thing that keeps the QM7 beautifully balanced (6/10, WIRED Reviewed) in addition to our main list: software glitches. During my review, I encountered an issue where adjusting SDR backlight levels affected HDR, which can lead to severe brightness limitations. While TCL fixed the issue in a firmware update for me, it's not yet widely available. Most people probably won't encounter this problem, so the QM7 is still worth considering, and TCL is expected to have a widespread firmware update in December.
Samsung S95C: S95C (8/10, WIRED recommended) is still a great option when available. It might even be a better choice for those who don't want or need the 2024 model's matte screen. It's still considered one of the best OLED TVs you can buy — especially for its price. easy to access.
