OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's sister, Ann Altman, has filed a lawsuit alleging he regularly sexually abused her between 1997 and 2006.
The lawsuit, filed Jan. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, alleges the abuse began when she was three and Mr. Altman was 12.
In a joint statement on Xwith his mother and two brothers, Mr Altman denied the allegations, saying “all these allegations are completely false”.
“Caring for a family member who is facing mental health challenges is incredibly difficult,” the statement added.
“This situation is causing great pain to our entire family.
In documents seen by the BBC, Ms Altman claimed the abuse, which took place over many years, included rape.
The lawsuit added that the last instance of the alleged abuse occurred when Mr. Altman was an adult, but she was still a minor.
The case is seeking a trial and damages in excess of $US75,000 ($60,100).
Ms. Altman has made similar allegations against her brother before on social media platforms like X.
Mr. Altman is one of the most famous figures in the world of technology.
