Venezuela's opposition condemned the crackdown ahead of Maduro's swearing-in ceremony




Opponents of Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro on Wednesday decried a worsening crackdown 48 hours before he was sworn in ahead of an election widely accused of rigging. France 24's Mark Owen spoke to Amnesty International's Valentina Ballesta about the kidnapping of Carlos Correa, director of press freedom NGO Espacio Público, who was “stopped by hooded men in the center of Caracas” believed to be regime officials.
