CES is known TV splashes And laptop startupbut in 2025, quite a few companies are also trying to make a splash with robot vacuum cleaners. After years when it seemed like vacuuming, mopping, and self-cleaning might be the peak of a robot vacuum's capabilities, this year's show featured home robots with entirely new features and appendages.
Here are the robot vacuum cleaners that caught our attention CES 2025many of whom you could invite to tidy up your living room later this year.
Roborok Saros Z70
Roborock's flagship vacuum cleaner for 2025 is Roborok Saros Z70a round robot vacuum cleaner on the outside that hides an extendable “OmniGrip” arm that can lift and move objects inside. The arm is capable of moving in five axes and can only carry about 300 grams, allowing it to move clothes and cables better than anything truly heavy. Roborock says the Saros Z70's precise sensors, LEDs and camera will be able to identify 108 objects that it can move or avoid, and will be able to learn up to 50 custom objects.
The only missing details are price and launch date. Roborock plans to start selling the Roborock Saros Z70 later this year, but did not say what the price of the new robot will be. It may turn out that robotic weapons are not cheap.
Dream X50 Ultra
Dreame is one of Roborock's competitors and had its new flagship robot vacuum cleaner at CES. Instead of a hand Dream X50 Ultra has tiny wheels on wheels that allow it to climb (admittedly shallow) stairs. Dreame calls this feature the “ProLeap System” and currently claims the X50 Ultra can climb 6 cm (about 2.4 inches) of stairs. This is much shorter than a typical home staircase, but it still means the Dreame robot vacuum can reach places competitors can't.
The Dreame X50 Ultra is available to reserve now for $39, giving you the chance to get the lower price of $1,310, plus a longer warranty and free accessories. The robot vacuum cleaner will officially go on sale on February 4th for $1,700.
Yufi E20
Robot vacuums are convenient, but they're not yet good enough to reach every corner of your home, which usually means you'll have to have some kind of handheld vacuum too. Yufi E20 can solve this riddle of two vacuums. It's a 3-in-1 robot vacuum that you can program to clean your home on its own, or take out its vacuum component and use it as a handheld or handheld vacuum for hard-to-reach places.
The goal is to have one vacuum cleaner that can adapt to all your needs while still maintaining the benefits of a robot vacuum, such as a base station for automatically emptying debris. It looks like Euphie could pull it off, and at a relatively affordable price. The Eufy 3-in-1 Vacuum Cleaner E20 goes on sale February 10, starting at $550, including all accessories.
Switchbot K20+ Pro
Switcbot is known for its smart home accessories like robotic curtain mechanisms and buttons, but in the last few years the company has also been offering its own affordable robot vacuum cleaner. Switchbot K20+ Pro this is its latest model, and it's also a completely new way to combine Switchbot products you may already have.
The K20+ Pro is a bit like a regular robot vacuum cleaner, only with a moving platform mounted on top. It can hold up to 18 pounds, and you can attach an air purifier, security camera, or Switchbot fan to the top and have a vacuum cleaner that can be used as a regular household robot. Switchbot claims that it can also be easily modified if you want to create your own weird app that will come out on top. The K20+ Pro is definitely equal parts stupid and smart, but there are still a lot of unknowns. No price or launch date is known beyond the end of this year. Switchbot plans to sell the K20+ Pro separately and bundled with some compatible accessories.
Dreame retractable arm prototype
Roborock wasn't the only one to show off a robot vacuum cleaner with an arm. Unnamed Dreame prototype The robot vacuum isn't ready to go on sale yet, but it has its own claw-shaped arm for grabbing things and wheeled “legs” for negotiating ledges, like the Dreame X50 Ultra.
It's unclear when this prototype will become a real product or how much it will cost, but it serves as a good example that if Roborock can create the Saros Z70, others will surely follow suit.
