Airbnb is helping California wildfire victims with free temporary housing.
this Rental platform On Wednesday, it said it was working with 211 LA, a longtime Los Angeles-area nonprofit, to respond to the ongoing wildfires.
Los Angeles County has been dealing with wildfires since Tuesday. The five fires Friday morning included the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, the Kenneth Fire, the Hurst Fire and the Lidia Fire.

“Stays are completely free for guests and are funded by Airbnb.org and the generosity of Airbnb hosts – many of whom offer their homes for free or at a discount through Airbnb.org,” explained Airbnb.

211 LA is identifying and coordinating temporary Airbnb housing on Airbnbs for eligible individuals, particularly those living in Altadena, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Pasadena, Santa Monica and Sylmar According to the rental platform, who have “lost their homes or been forced to evacuate” due to the flames.

Business leaders' response to California wildfires: 'heartbreaking'
To qualify, they must have been “displaced from your physical home due to recent fires,” live in an evacuation zone, be able to create an Airbnb account if they don't already have one, and have at least an account. 18 years old, according to the 211 LA website.
Officials have told about 130,000 people to evacuate the fire, according to the Associated Press.
The largest of the five fires, the 20,438-acre Palisades Fire, has destroyed more than 5,000 structures. to CalFire. 6% available from Friday morning.

The Eaton fire, which like the Palisades fire has been burning since Tuesday, is 0% contained. It burned 4000 buildings.
California wildfires could cost insurers $20 billion, the highest in the state's history.
CalFire's website showed that three other fires had varying degrees of containment as of Friday morning.
At least 10 people died in this fire.
