CES 2025 was a fantastic show for companies that delivered on the promises of previous years. At these events, we're used to seeing booth after booth displaying gadgets in the concept and prototype stages, with vague details about the final design and “eventually” release windows. However, this year the atmosphere was much more ready for release. Several high-profile projects that debuted at previous CES shows have returned with concrete plans and actual release dates, and many of these products are available right now. This is a true CES miracle.
Think Ballie, the rolling robot that Samsung debuted in 2020 and then brought to CES 2024? It's exactly the type of thing we never expect to see again, doomed to haunt the consumer electronics graveyard forever, but this year Samsung revealed the Ballie's final form and set its release window at the first half of 2025. cute yellow robot the size of a bowling ball, with Among usA cut-out style that houses a projector, allowing you to project images and videos onto the walls and floor. It's a fun option from Samsung, and while we don't know the exact price or release date yet, the news that it's actually coming this year is a welcome update.
Sony Honda Mobility's Afeela 1 is officially available for pre-order now, almost five years after Sony announced its intention to enter the electric vehicle market. The Afeela 1 started out as a Vision-S concept car that Sony unveiled. at CES 2020and he took the name Afila in 2023 after Sony and Honda formed a joint venture to produce electric vehicles. At CES 2025 Sony Honda Mobility open reservations for the Afeela 1 Origin and Afeela 1 Signature, which cost US$89,900 and US$109,900 respectively. Reservations are currently only available to customers in California, with the first vehicles expected to be delivered in mid-2026. It's definitely great to see Sony's EV ambitions emerging after half a century of development.
One of the headlines we published this year with the word “finally” was about Displace TV's wireless 4K OLED screens with suction cups. First identified in CES 2023Displace TVs on suction cup now ready for mass consumptionand they're available for pre-order, with shipments expected in March. Displace sells two models: Basic and Pro, both with 4K OLED displays and 27-inch or 55-inch screen sizes. They all also support basic gesture controls. The base 27-inch model costs $2,500, the 55-inch Pro costs $6,000, with other prices in between.
Speaking of TVs, the most popular home entertainment technology at CES 2024 was Transparent OLED T from LG — and it will officially go on sale this year. LG unveiled OLED T at CES 2025, just weeks after its unveiling enter the market for the incredible price of $60,000. The OLED T is a 77-inch transparent 4K TV, and although it costs as much as an expensive car, it performs amazingly well.
Here's another idea we were ready to forget about forever: a Lenovo foldable laptop. Several concept products with rollable screens appeared at CES since 2019and Lenovo talked about the idea of releasing a laptop from 2022. At CES 2025, the company showed off its first market-ready model, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable. It features a vibrant OLED display that expands from 14 to 16.7 inches at the touch of a button. we found it shockingly elegant personally. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable is set to go on sale this spring with a starting price of $3,500.
It's worth noting that this list isn't limited to things that will fit in your home—some of the products that hit the market from previous CES appearances are actual homes in their own right. Pebble unveils all-electric Flow motorhome trailer to CES 2024 and even opened pre-orders that year, but at CES 2025the company has shared the final design and has officially started production. The Pebble Flow is set to go on sale this spring with prices ranging from $109,500 to a top price of $175,000.
AC Future unveiled concepts for its convertible motorhome at CES 2024, and at the 2025 show the company unveiled its finished product. AC Future's Ai-TH line consists of three models: the deliverable module (I-Cht), retractable trailer (I-THT) and a controlled electric vehicle on wheels (I-THD). The RV converts into a 400-square-foot apartment with one bedroom, one bathroom, living room and kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, two-burner induction cooktop and microwave. The bathroom even has a washer and dryer. Production of the Ai-TH line will begin as soon as AC Future returns home from CES 2025, and pre-orders are already being accepted at prices of $98,000 for the pod, $138,000 for the trailer, and $298,000 for the EV RV.
It's always great to see innovative concepts like this become actual products. The abundance of actual release announcements following CES 2025 is a relief and a positive sign for the current consumer tech production cycle.
