The Israeli military said it failed to intercept a rocket fired from Yemen early Saturday morning in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa area, where emergency services said 14 people suffered minor injuries.
Paramedics treated 14 people with minor injuries from shrapnel, and some of them were taken to hospital, the ambulance service said in a statement.
Israeli police said they received reports of a falling missile in a city in the Tel Aviv area.
The Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen has repeatedly fired drones and rockets at Israel in what they describe as acts of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
On Thursday, Israel launched attacks on ports and energy infrastructure in Houthi-controlled parts of Yemen and threatened further attacks on the Yemeni group.
