As King Charles continues to battle cancer, his heir, Prince William, is preparing to become the next king – and no one will stand in his way.
British royalist Hilary Fordwich made the claim, saying the Prince of Wales could feel the future of “The Firm” looming over his head.
“Prince William is dedicated to the work, as he was supported by Queen Elizabeth II, who taught him every Sunday about his royal duties,” Fordwich told Fox News Digital. “He is also under a lot of generational pressure as the growing popularity of the monarchy is at the top of his and Princess Catherine's list.”

Fordwich added that Prince Harry and Prince Andrew are “wary of his temper.”
“Harry's whinge fest” Spare, “with its negative accusations against the royal family, especially his contempt for the Princess of Wales, provided the” last straw “as William told those around him,” said Fordwich.

“As a millennial, he will not risk social contact with dangerous family members who act as obstacles to social work,” Fordwich added.
Fordwich's reports came shortly after sources said In Touch that the father of three has been putting his foot down when it comes to decisions about the future of the monarchy.
“It's no secret that anyone who pushes him will be shown the door quickly,” a palace insider told the outlet. “He's not willing to take anything for granted, and word is he's well on his way to becoming the toughest ruler the family has ever seen.”

Sources also told the news outlet that William has “never been more influential” than he has been in recent months. They said the 42-year-old does not shy away from “making decisions that he thinks will benefit the Crown in the long term.”
“I speak to people close to her who say she is very difficult to work with and unwavering in her ambitions,” royal expert Ian Pelham Turner said. “He doesn't hear fools gladly.”
“It has often been said that King Charles finds it very difficult to make decisions, especially with his two sons and how to deal with Harry,” said Pelham Turner. “William is very right, like his grandfather Prince Philipwho would push people out of the way if they stood before him. . . . British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital that William is committed to renewing the royal image. The past year has been “cruel” for the prince, as he admitted, because of his family's health saga.
Both Charles and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton were diagnosed with cancer in 2024. In September, the Queen of Wales announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment.
“Prince William is well aware that the Royal Family has been under tension over the past few years, from members of his own family causing unnecessary chaos, family illness and serious financial turmoil. ” said Chard.

Sources told In Touch that William is “taking” more power from King Charles.
But experts told Fox News Digital that the king is happy to let his eldest son take over.

“He makes policy decisions that will benefit the crown,” Chard said. “He values loyalty and will not allow anyone to further tarnish the family name. The Sussexes and Prince Andrew, of course, anyone who breaks the line, will be kept away. .
“Prince William is currently working to reduce the unnecessary expenses of the royal family and to achieve overall stability,” Chard said. “The Federal Government intends to raise 56 million dollars.

Fordwich added that William wants to be seen as a “hands-on” monarch who is making positive changes in the UK. His charities and causes – from mental health to the environment – have given clues to what kind of king he might one day become.
“One can look at the projects he has relied on so far, such as the Earthshot Prize, his goal of reducing homelessness within five years… as well as other programs related to mental health ,” Fordwich said.

William has previously said that he and his wife, 43, are “willing to serve”.
“For us, that's not telling people what to do,” he said. “It's to serve them and support them in whatever way they think is best.”
