On Wednesday, Rep. Gary Palmer, R-Ala., introduced the Congressional Review Act (CRA), which allows Congress to overturn laws made by federal agencies, to avoid waste of administrative resources, shared first with Fox News Digital .
“It's a strong ban on water heaters. Another example of overreach by the government under the Biden administration is when they walk out the door. They don't care about consumers,” Palmer told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview.

Supporters of Biden's policies, such as the Resource Alert Project (ASAP), suggest it would eliminate 32 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions from commercial water heaters over 30 years.
But Palmer said it would have serious economic consequences for working Americans, given the amount a household would have to pay out of pocket for a new water heater that complies with the law.
The Alabama congressman expressed hope that the CRA will pass the House, as several other Republican lawmakers have signed on as sponsors.
Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., one of the cosponsors of the CRA, told Fox that “Joe Biden's last-ditch effort to block gas water heating in his last days in office was not nothing short of another green energy scam.”

The National Propane Gas Association also supports overturning the ban, telling Fox that it “threatens to immediately end the volatile gas water heating market.”

“This legislation will force households to retrofit their existing appliances at unnecessarily high rates, placing an unnecessary burden on energy conservation and questionable economic benefits,” Steve Kaminski, The president and CEO of the National Propane Gas Association told Fox News Digital. .
