Play God of War: Ragnarök and more with PlayStation Plus Coming soon


God of War: Ragnarok has won dozens of awards since it was announced in 2022, including the award for Best Narrative at the Game Awards that year. If you've never played the myth-based action game before, now's your chance, as Sony is bringing the game to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers on January 21.

PlayStation Plus is Sony's version of the Xbox Game Passand offers subscribers a large and ever-expanding library of games. There are three levels of PlayStation Plus — Essential ($10 per month), Extra ($15 per month) and Premium ($18 per month) — and each gives subscribers access to the games. However, only Extra and Premium tier subscribers can access the PlayStation Plus game catalog.

Here are the games subscribers can play soon with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. You can also check out the games that Sony has added to the service December.

God of War: Ragnarok

God of War (2018) was a titan of the PlayStation 4 era, and according to CNET review the sequel is “a bigger story with better graphics and more varied combat”. In the game, you travel through the nine kingdoms of Norse mythology as Kratos and his son Atreus in search of answers before the end of the world. You'll battle monsters and Norse gods across mythical landscapes as the threat of Ragnarok grows.

This spin-off of the popular Like a Dragon series puts you back in the shoes of the series' original protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. He has been living in secret since faking his death in 2016, working as an agent for a secret organization of politicians. But when a smuggling operation turns into a trap, Kiryu is put in conflict with someone who wants to bring him out of hiding.

If you played Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and you want more of the famous archaeologist, give this game a go. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will travel to Sudan, Panama and more as you search for the staff that Moses used to part the Red Sea. Sony has improved this version of the game with rendering, quick save and more. So grab your whip and get ready to whack some Nazis.
