Former Vice President Kamala Harris inspired laughter on the Internet after she gave a “word salad” – a strange statement about the nature of “community” while talking to firefighters in California.
After his term as vice president ended Monday, Harris visited the Los Angeles and Altadena Fire Departments and spoke to the media.
Like I said to these brave and extraordinary firefighters, you know time of crisis it really reveals the heroes among us,” he said. “We visited World Central Kitchen. I mean that the volunteers who were there, some of them who lost their homes, are there doing the work of caring for people they don't know well, who, in the eyes of a stranger, are look at the neighbor.”
He continued, “These are people who understand the power and value of community, which is that everyone comes together with a common purpose and identity as a community of people.”

Harris was repeatedly criticized during his tenure as vice president for his penchant for repeating statements or “word salad,” such as declaring, “I grew up understanding that the nation's children are children of the nation.” In a similar statement at another event, he said, “community banks are in the community.”
His critics are everywhere social media. they were quick to mock him again for his latest world salad.
“A community is a community. Of the people. Write that down, please,” writer Rob Jenkins quipped.
Paul A. Szypula, a former US Senate candidate and conservative advocate, tweeted, “Kamala reminds America why she's out of business .”
“He may not be in DC, but remember: somewhere in the world, someone is under Kamala's 'Deep Thoughts.' word salad,” radio host Jay Weber joked.
Wall Street Journal film critic Kyle Smith wrote, “an unemployed man has thoughts about something that happened 3000 miles away.”
