Washington Commanders Rookie Jayden Daniels helped break the team's NFC Championship game drought with a dramatic win over the Detroit Lions last week.
Daniels was 22-of-31 with 299 yards passing and two touchdowns. He was not ejected from the game, either Washington was 3-for-4 on fourth down conversion attempts.

The young quarterback's ability to maintain poise and control in high-pressure situations earned him praise from Tom Brady, arguably the greatest of all time. The former NFL star compared Daniels to Tiger Woods during the event “Let's go!” podcast.
“How do we actually check for confidence? How do we check for poise? Because some people have it. Times aren't too big for them,” Brady said. “They look at the challenge, and they think, 'Man, this is going to be amazing when we come out and beat these guys.' And some guys looked at the challenge and said, 'Man, I don't want to mess up.' And I think that the fear of failure, instilled in many people in the first years of their lives, keeps them from the last confidence they have in themselves, which allows them to grow to reach their highest potential.

“So even though Jayden Daniels is just a rookie, he has stability and confidence. Imagine, I think, another relationship, look at the young teenager. Tiger Woods. He never proved on the big stage that he was ready for those big moments at the Masters in 1997, but he had proven himself to all the experienced youngsters that he won, that he didn't care that Who are you playing? Daniels appeared to be taking it one game at a time as he spoke to reporters about a chance to go to the Super Bowl with a win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
If the Chiefs win the NFC Championship, it will be their first Super Bowl appearance since the 1991 season, when the organization was known as the Washington Redskins. Daniels would also become the first rookie quarterback to lead his team to the Super Bowl.
“I'm not even thinking that far. It's obviously going to be a blessing, but I'm just focused on how I can get better every day,” he said, by the way. Pro Football Talk.
