Syria's new leader Ahmed al-Shara said on Sunday in a presser with Turkish FM Hakan Fidan that all weapons would be controlled by the state, referring to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces operating in the north of the country. Turkey considers the US-backed group to be affiliated with its illegal domestic enemy – the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
