Whoopi Goldberg made a bad joke about the imaginary murder of President-elect Donald Trump during an interview about Elon Musk's political influence.
“Who's in charge? Because I've been saying it for a while. I'm still saying it—I think Elon Musk believes he's president. I do,” Goldberg said on ABC News. “Look” on Thursday.
His comments came during a discussion about a bipartisan deal to avoid a partial government shutdown, which was they were killed after GOP opposition. Musk, a Trump adviser and supporter, was one of the most vocal opponents of the spending bill.
During the segment, co-host Joy Behar urged Vice President JD Vance and Musk to team up to remove Trump from the presidency.

“Hey, you-know-who (Trump); stay away from the stairs,” Goldberg joked as the crowd burst into laughter and applause. Goldberg often refers to Trump as “who do you know” as a way of disparaging him rather than using his name.
“Because, you know, people put their foot down to trip you when you go down the stairs. Be careful,” he explained.
CNN commentator Scott Jennings noted Goldberg's question about who was “in charge” came on the same day the Wall Street Journal reported an article about President Biden's “fall” and how his White House protect him during his time alone in the throne.
Goldberg's joke also follows two assassination attempts against Trump earlier this year.
Ryan Routh is said to have stood up for more than 12 hours in the brush with a gun around the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach while Trump was playing golf on Sept. 15. The Secret Service saw Routh pointing a gun through the fence and shot him. Routh fled before shooting Trump and was arrested that day.

Routh has already been charged with five counts, including attempted murder of a presidential candidate and assault on a government official.

Thomas Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump on July 13 at a rally in Butler, Pa., wounding him and killing supporter Corey Compatore. He also took two other people out of the crowd. The crooks were then killed by the police at the scene.
Congressional staff The investigation into the attempted murders of July and September continues to search for answers.
