The United Nations (UN) organization says it has stopped the entire movement in Houthi-Heldled regions of Yemen after a number of UN officials have been detained by the armed group in the capital Sana.
The UN said he was actively involved in senior Huti officials to try to ensure the release of all his detained officers. There was no official statement from Huti yet.
This is not the first time the group detained UN workers – a number of employees were held last year. Houthis has also detained about 20 Yemen employees of the US Embassy in the last three years.
Human rights groups also accuse the movement of being abducted, tormented and held in arbitrary detention hundreds of civilians.
Iran -supported by Iran Hutis have been fighting a coalition led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen for almost a decade. The conflict, which broke out after Hutis forced the then government of Yemen, was largely stagnant in the last two years.
But Hutiis has attracted the renewal of international attention by targeting ships in the Red Sea and shooting missiles to Israel over the last fifteen months, which they say is in support of Hamas and the Palestinians.
Their actions caused repressive strikes on Huti's position in Yemen from the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom.
Since the end of the Gaza fire, Huti said they would reduce their attacks on shipping and stop shooting in Israel if he continued with the truce.
One of President Trump's first acts for intervention, however, is to order Huti to be Go back to the list of American foreign terrorist organizations.
Nevertheless, the group remains in control of large areas of Yemen.
The country was the most overwhelming in the Middle East before the start of the war in 2015. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed in fighting or from illness and hunger, exacerbated by the conflict.
UN agencies provide a vital rescue line for millions of Yemeni with their food and medical help.
But they regularly have problems reaching people in more distant areas outside the big cities, with Huti officials regularly reporting that they have prevented the provision of humanitarian aid in the regions they control.
