WhatsApp may soon allow iOS users to have multiple accounts on one device

WhatsApp's latest beta update for iOS gives users the ability to add and switch between multiple accounts on the same device. . This happens a year after . iOS version 25.2.10.70 gives users a choice when adding a second account to the app. WABetaInfo reports: They can set it up as a separate master account or “scan the QR code to link the new account as a companion account.” The update is already available to beta testers through Apple's TestFlight program.

On Android, using two WhatsApp accounts at the same time requires the use of two SIM cards, as each account must have its own phone number. WhatsApp offers another app, WhatsApp Business, where users can set up a second account using a different phone number, but this still means switching between the two apps. The update for Android, and one currently being tested for iOS, allows users with two phone numbers to store all their conversations in one app.
