Jennifer Lopez offers advice on overcoming 'problems' months after Ben Affleck's divorce


Jennifer Lopez admitted there are no “random events” in life as the pop star revealed how she deals with “problems.”

Lopez, 55, found a way to “accept” life lessons after her divorce from ex Ben Affleck, 52.

“I think the way I overcome things is not by thinking that they are happening to me but that they are happening to me and what is the lesson that needs to be learned now,” the singer said in an interview published by. British Vogue.

“When I think about things that way and I always … have a positive attitude about it, it's easy to accept it for what it is.”

“Because that is what our problems are in life,” he continued. “What should I learn here?”

“There are no coincidences. This doesn't happen, you know, by accident. It happens for a reason. What can I learn and how can I come out on the other side better, stronger, more knowledgeable and kind of change and grow from this point?”

Lopez previously revealed that she does not regret giving him a second chance. Affleck and the “Let's The Loud” singer are very popular they rekindle their love after 17 years they separated in 2021 before getting divorced.

“That doesn't mean it didn't bother me,” Lopez said in an interview with Nikki Glaser for Communication magazine. “It almost did. But then, on the other side of it, I said to myself, “F—, that's what I needed. Thank you, god. I'm sorry I took so long. I'm sorry you did this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it. You had to hit me hard on the head with a f—— sledgehammer. He brought the house down on me. You don't have to do it again.”

Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20 in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County. Her petition to dissolve her marriage to Affleck was filed on the two-year anniversary of their wedding in Georgia.

Rumors about the couple's marriage plagued Hollywood heavyweights for months before Lopez filed for divorce.

Affleck and Lopez first said “I do” during the surprise Las Vegas wedding in 2022.

The newlyweds held a backyard party for friends and family a month later at the $8 million mansion Georgia Affleck bought when the couple first started dating 20 years ago.

Lopez and Affleck they first met while filming “Gigli” in 2002. The couple planned to get married in 2003 before they postponed the wedding. By the beginning of 2004, both of them had finished having sex.

Affleck and Lopez reunited before the summer of 2021, and Affleck proposed in April of the following year.
