Before and after photos: I tested a silk pillow to fix my angry bed

Ever since I flourished my hair four years ago, I stayed with locks that are often hairstyles, dry and annoying. To find a solution, I read countless Reddit articles and threads offering the same advice: go to bed with A. Silk pillow. Normally I use cotton, and when I wake up, my bed is intense and requires brushing, which gives every hair care routine for my waves 2a/2b and curls meaningless.

Although skeptical, I decided to try a silk pillow for which a pleasant country sent me 100% of a silk cushion of mulberry (Is currently on sale for $ 82). This is what happened, completely with evidence of photos.

From chat refrigerators to iPhone, our experts are here to help make the world a little less complicated.

For the past few years I have been using 100% cotton pillows. Although I would not say that they provided the most luxurious experience, they do the job. However, I wake up every day with intertwined, hairstyle of hair lines and facial fabrics. This is complemented by the fact that I'm hot sleep, which adds to the chaos – especially since my cotton pillows are not cooled.

Following the routines of wavy hair, a post-law, I would use a balsam to leave or spray for a wave to wipe my hair, emphasizing my curls. I try not to use too much product because my hair is thin and fast to look greasy. After that, it dries and looks presentable. But then, I go to bed and wake up with this

This hair is intertwined to the point where it requires brushing (combing with your fingers will not work). I stay with a frie rifle without defined curls or waves in sight. This happened so often that I stopped doing my routine on the wavy hair post-tuti, because my bed is powerful enough to make the whole endeavor feel meaningless.

Silk pillows reduce friction and absorb how much moisture, which helps preserve hairstyles, maintain hair hydration and prevent tightening and breaking. Due to the gentle fabric, it is also said to be great for sensitive skin prone to acne-although it is not a one-stop shop for miracle. Given this information, I turned off my silk cotton cotton.

After the silk pillow

After resting my head on the pillow, I immediately felt the difference. The lack of friction made it easier for me to let my skin and hair through the case, while the fabric has a more cooling effect than cotton (perfect for hot sleep like me). Now, for a real test: sleeping with a silk pillow.

I loved to sleep with this fabric. It felt much colder and more luxurious than my cotton pillows. Plus, there were no remaining lines of fabrics on my skin. As for my hair, I did my routine on a wavy post-thuts, I went to bed and woke up like this

While my hair still became nicer overnight, it wasn't almost so intertwined and hairstyle as it is usually. I could still make more pronounced waves and small curls. Usually, when I wake up, my hair looks like it's angry at me, but this time, it just looked anxious. It was easier to comb with my fingers, which means that the hair brush was only a little necessary and, as a result, my frieze Pouf was reduced. My hair also felt softer to the touch and more hydrated.

Since silk pillows can be more expensive than cotton, I secretly hoped this experiment would not work. But on the basis of these results, I think it's worth worth silk pillows – especially if you are ready to take care of them to extend their lifespan.

These are the guidelines for Cozy Earth for his silk pillow: “The washer, cold iron, do not dry, mild detergent or hand washing delicate.” I have seen other brands that recommend gently treating your silk product gently at every turn by prioritizing your hand washing or using a gentle cycle of the washing machine with the object in a separate washing bag for delicates.

Again, I'm low maintenance: I used the washing machine with a mild detergent. The pattern of my apartment building has no gentle cycle, so I placed the pillow in a protective nets bag before washing it. Then, I left the air to dry flat and there were no problems.

If you are tired of the crib, sleep warm or hate wake up with lines of fabrics on your skin – and you have money for a sparing or a birthday wish list – I think it's worth a silk pillow. In general, I believe that any product that can improve your dream is worth it if you are ready to worry properly.

If you are looking to save and still use the benefits of a silky pillow, cnet Favorite budget silk pillow is only $ 10. As for a non -aggressive crib, it's priceless.
