Detection of movement
The 4K resolution does not do very well unless the camera can alert and record when something happens. The best detection of movement involves recognizing objects for people, animals and cars. We want to see items recognition for free, but more and more brands are charging for it. We also want to see the zones of movement activities and privacy zones to help improve the accuracy and blocking of areas that you do not want the camera to look for.
Video storage
4K video can take up a a lot The space so that video storage options are especially important for recording details. Local storage is free for subscription and keeps your video out of the cloud, but you will need to invest in a larger microSD card to facilitate management. Cloud storage is an option, but usually requires a subscription of $ 5 to $ 8 a month to enable.
Energy source
Many of our 4K selection are battery models, which make it much easier to set up and inform you when you need to fill in. But wired cameras, or wireless cameras with a cable option, allow you to set the cameras and leave them without worrying about battery life, which some users prefer.
Lighting
The details of 4K work best with a light source that illuminates the area. These cameras are well paired with reflectors. However, if you already have lighting nearby like porches or flood lights, you may be able to skip this feature.
Field of view
The field of view refers to how wide the angle of the camera lens. It is important giving and taking with a resolution of 4K. The wider the field of view, the more pixels it can take, which means you can sacrifice a little clarity in the image. However, we generally prefer that compromise because the 4K resolution still adds a lot of details and wide viewing is especially useful in the open.
Night vision
Night sight is a pleasant addition to any 4K external camera that will work in the dark. It does not directly affect the resolution, but night vision tends to show better results with a better camera. The color night of color is a great quality strengthening for this feature.
