Trump claims that car tariffs coming around April 2

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he is planning to apply tariffs on imported cars around April 2.

Trump noticed in an oval office when reporters were asked about their comments to the car tariff at the beginning of the week.

“In the next – maybe around April 2,” said Trump. “I would do them on April 1, believe or not. I am a bit superstitious. No, we literally planned it on April 1. I said, “Let's do it on April 2.”

“Do you know how much money it costs? It costs a lot of money, but we will do it on April 2, “added Trump before confirming someone outside the camera that the date was correct.

The range of tariffs is unclear.

At the beginning of this week, the president thought about 50 or 100 percent tariffs for imported cars, saying that Canada “stole” an industry from the United States and that he wants vehicles made in Detroit.

The arrest of 25 percent tariffs on all Canadian exports was announced at the beginning of this month, lasting until the beginning of March. But since then, Trump has signed a tariff order for foreign steel and aluminum, including Canada.
