NFL team and college football played games at the same time last Saturday, and the NFL won the ratings battle.
Although there are 12 groups College football game In its original form, it didn't get nearly as much attention as the NFL.
SMU and Penn State aired at 12 pm ET with 6.4 million viewers on the TNT network.

NFL clash game, game between Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans, began at 1 pm ET and averaged 15.5 million viewers on NBC.
The NFL and college football clash again later in the afternoon, with Clemson-Texas at 4pm ET. Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens game started shortly thereafter, at 4:30 pm ET.
The Steelers-Ravens game drew 15.4 million viewers on FOX, while Clemson-Texas drew 8.6 million viewers on TNT.
When the NFL did not compete in the College Football Playoffs, ratings were high for two other sports.

Indiana-Notre Dame, the first game of the new 12 class structureaired Friday night, with an average of 13.4 million viewers on ABC/ESPN.
One game on Saturday that wasn't competitive with the NFL did well, like Tennessee and Ohio State has 14.3 million viewers on ABC/ESPN.
The 10.6 million total viewers for the first round of the College Football Playoffs was the highest of all but four college sports this year.
College football and the NFL will clash again on Saturday, as the NFL has three games throughout the day against the slate of bowl games.

The Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots play at 1 pm ET, the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals play at 4:30 pm ET, and the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams play at 8:10 pm ET.
One of the notable bowl games on Saturday is No. 18 in position Iowa State playing no. 13 in Miami in the Pop-Tarts Bowl at 3:30 pm ET.
Another great game is No. 23 placed in Colorado playing no. 17 at BYU in the Alamo Bowl at 7:30 pm ET, where top draft prospects Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are expected to play.
