A painting of a street artist Banksy with an environmental message and an estimate of up to £ 5 million ($ 6.3 million) goes to the auction, and some revenues help the victims of forest fires in the Los -Andeles.
The Sothebi Auction House said on Tuesday that “Vettriano)” sold Sotheby's in London on March 4 from Mark Hopus collection, California-Skete Pank-182 bass player, which sees Banksy as his native spirit.
Hopus said he was attracted to the undermining, humor and intelligence of Banksy's work and similarity between “skateboard, punk and art”.

“I feel like street art and punk –ro have the same core,” Hopus said. “The left is not noticed, creating your own reality … just go engage in art. It's the same spirit. And I have loved art and especially street art since I understood it.”
“Vettriano)” is part of a series of works of 2005, in which Banksy put a satirical spin on the famous paintings – throwing “Sunflowers” by Vincent Van Gogh and breaking the snack in “Nighthawks” Edward Hopper. The artist said that his goal was to show that “real damage made in our environment is not caused by graffiti and drunk teenagers, but by major affairs.”

The work that goes under the hammer is based on the picture of the Scottish artist Jack Vetatrian, showing a couple in an evening dress that dancing on the beach because the servants offer asylum umbrellas. Banksy added a tanal liner and two digits that dragged a barrel of toxic waste.
“We loved this picture from the moment we saw it,” said Hoppus, who bought artistic work with his wife sky in 2011. He said the picture was “unmistakably Banksy, but in another” – hung in the homes of the family in London and Los -Angeles since then.
