President-elect Trump appointed Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera to serve as representative of Panama.
Calling the Miami-Dade County Commissioner a “brutal fighter,” Trump said he will advance the “MAGA agenda” in Central America.

“Few understand Latin American politics as well as Kevin – He will do a FANTASTIC job representing the interests of our Nation in Panama!” he said.

The announcement came after Trump said that Panama is “a country that cheats us Panama Canal, far beyond their wildest dreams.
In a post on Public Truth on Wednesday, Trump again accused the Chinese military of operating illegally and “always making sure that the United States puts in billions of dollars in money to ' fix' but it will have absolutely nothing to say about 'anything.' “

In X's statement, Cabrera thanked Trump for selection.

Cabrera hit home district elections two years ago after Trump's endorsement.

He also served as the Florida state director for Trump's 2020 campaign and was a member of the RNC Platform Committee.
