Discovering the person's face works well enough, but it's just a subscription function.
Resolution and review
We always pay attention to the resolution and vision field for home security cameras. Checking the details, closely at a distance, is very important for the live view and the quality of the recorded video. It is important to pay attention not only to the number of resolution and how wide the field of view is, but whether the brand concludes higher resolutions behind the subscription (some do).
Video storage
Video storage concerns how easily shoot and share a video, usually either in a cloud or locally via attached center/hard drive. Cloud storage is almost always locked behind the subscription, except in rare exceptions like Google Nest and some others. Local storage is generally a better way to avoid subscriptions and still gain this important quality of life.
Smart integration into home
Smart home support for speech assistants (Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant) or platforms like Google Home or Apple Home are not often locked behind the subscriptions: what you see in the specifications is what you get. It can be limited to a single platform (Amazon wants to keep its devices for now focused on Alexa) or spread between several platforms. If you are already using a speech assistant or a complete smart home safety system, look for a camera that is compatible with it.
Detection of items
Discovering objects, such as packages or creatures in the form of man, is another feature that is often locked behind the subscription. Some cameras offer free detection of items. Eufy uses man discovery for many of their cameras, TP-Link Tapo Cams offer free detection and several Lorex cameras provide a package and detection of people.
Use of applications
High -quality secure cameras come with applications that are intuitive with easy -to -manage settings. It's also a big bonus if you don't have permanent popups that tell you to sign up for a subscription.
Night vision
We always look closely at night's view and its distance to make sure it works properly and offers a very tool for recording images on the other side of your backyard or room.
Two -way audio
Two -way audio features help to frighten intruders, talk to strangers, or tell their children to get inside dinner. They are always free, but we look closely at their quality and range.
