Azerbaijan's Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashan Nabiyev said on Friday that the Azerbaijani airliner that crashed earlier this week may have been hit by a missile, while outside aviation experts blamed Russian air defense systems for the crash. The plane was flying from Azerbaijan's capital Baku to Grozny, the regional capital of the Russian republic of Chechnya, on Wednesday when it turned toward Kazakhstan and crashed while trying to land. In this accident, 38 people died and all 29 people were injured.
