A woman who said she spent more than $30,000 on a wedding she “hated” found a new way to have a “good” and “stress-free” wedding experience: by renewing his vows in less than a moment and lovingly every moment of it.
Alexandrea Acevedo, 27, of Orlando, Florida, says she has “big wedding” and 200 visitors last year but felt “stressed” and “anxious” throughout the day, he told news agency SWNS.
Today, she feels she did “what everyone wants” instead of having her dream wedding day.

She and her husband, Michael Acevedo, renewed their vows last year, she said, and climbed the mountain with three of their four children, SWNS reported.
He said it was “good day.”

Reflecting on his marriage years ago, on the contrary, he said that the event was “very expensive… We were very young. It was a difficult time. I don't know that why did we ever do that.”
She said that the incident cost her and her husband “a little over $30,000. That was a huge waste of money.” housekeeping. “A wedding is not for the couple – it's for the guests.”

He added, “We put all this energy and stress (into) a big flashy event. Why did I go through all that in a few hours? We did what everyone wants instead of what we want.”

The couple met in January 2017.
They were engaged in April of that year after a whirlwind romance.

The mother-of-four now said she wanted “a nice dress, a photo shoot and a trip to the mountains” – but other family members wanted something different, reports SWNS.
Said Alexandrea Acevedo, “When we came up with the idea of talking and doing it alone, they had an idea… having a giant wedding.”
He said he spent more than a year planning a garden event for 200 guests.

He said, “I have planned everything by myself… Everyone is in your ear.”
He said today, he no longer remembers his wedding day on Sept. 2018 as he was I am so overwhelmed with everything.
“I was very anxious all day,” he told SWNS.

“I don't really remember most of it. It was a blur. There was a lot of confusion.”
He said he knew his family wanted him to “eat his food and say goodbye to everyone,” but he said he felt “tired” about it all.
He said, “This should be the happiest day of my life. It ends up being for everyone. enjoy your meal.”

After their wedding, the couple began to create the family life they wanted. Today they have four children, aged 9, 6, 2 and four months.
When they were about to celebrate five years of marriage, they decided to renew their vows to celebrate.

So they hired a photographer, SNWS reports, and drove to the Fred W. Symmes Chapel in Cleveland, South Carolina, with their three oldest children in September 2023.

And he said, “We had a moment in between.” us, children and God. It was completely stress free. It was just about us – not pleasing everyone. ”
He added, “It was a great day.”

The family spent the whole day enjoying themselves lunch and walking.
In total, they spent less than $1,000 to renew their vows.

The wife and mother said she hopes to encourage others to plan the wedding they want as a first-time couple.
He said, “When it comes to your marriage, it should be what you want – not what everyone else wants. It should be about you and your family as a couple.”
