Sony's brilliant new RGB TV appeared in 2026

After that, we saw the RGB prototype fully assembled next to Sony's best traditional traditional TV, Bravia 9 (9/10, wired recommended), and its top 2023 OLED, A95L (9/10, wired recommended), and again impressive results.

Although the prototype cannot produce the same perfect black levels and the central contrast of the OLED model, it has an effective blooming control and significant effective image focus. Its color looks richer and more saturated than TV, and its brightness easily surpasses even Bravia 9, one of the fiery TVs in the class. Sony says the screen can produce 99 percent of the Basic DCI-P3 color spectrum and 90 percent of BT.2020 spectrum more advanced, both righteous. It is as attractive as the level of color control required by the screen at low brightness, designed to improve accuracy compared to the current screens in dimly illuminated scenes.

Sony's polite

Interestingly, this is not the first RGB LED screen in Sony's 60 -year television category. Sony introduced an ancient version of RGB LED Tech in 2004, although that version could hardly be compared to today's screen. The smallest TVs include thousands of lights and hundreds of dimly fuzzy areas for brightness, accuracy and better accuracy than the first days.

However, outstanding as these latest mini RGBs, they are almost not as small as millions of pixels that create 4K TVs, so they cannot come close to create the exact colors needed for modern TVs that can be displayed. As the engineers have proven, the RGB prototype uses color filters, Sony's exclusive XR color enhancement and other technologies to produce the final product.

This requires the hand between the three -color backlight and the rest of the dashboard, all must be coordinated by the TV processor. According to Sony, this is the center of what makes its RGB TV performance different from other brands. It is part of what makes the Japanese brand participate in the RGB TV horse race.

A great look from every angle

Sony has set many ways that its RGB shows superior to the best LED TV today during my time in Japan. The ability to create color except between backlights and color filters helps lead to a higher efficiency for improved brightness, capable of equivalent to Sony's famous professional screen. The lack of white light behind the dashboard reduces light spill and allows more concentrated colors, to control better blooming and create color at light source that allows better depth of color classification and better saturation than traditional LED screens. This means reproducing richer and more accurate colors.

Perhaps the most attractive feature of LED RGB TV is their improved external performance when you do not watch live. The brightness and color of the prototype looks great for the LED TV when it comes to the side, one thing that Sony said was due to the structure of the new screen as well as its advanced control over color decentralization.
