Robotics company 1X recently released a video of its new robot, Neo Gamma, doing various tasks in the home setting: wearing a boiler with warm water, straightening a picture, wearing clothes, vacuuming, cleaning windows, picking up groceries, shipping bottle wine, editing and sitting.
Neo gamma discharge.
This demo didn't say anything about how the robot is controlled. As we are LearnedIf the company does not emphasize what its robots can do autonomously, you should not assume that they are doing something autonomous. However, 1x has shown Videos His Eva robots who work autonomously and perform various tasks.
One thing that is unique about 1x is its history of fully dressed robots. 1x says that Neo's suit and shoes are nylon printed with 3D and have a minimalist design to easily fit into home aesthetics. I would imagine that soft exterior could help protect the internal electrical components from pets, children or other things that can be found at home.
The new Neo Gamma on 1x has clothing and ear rings.
One biggest update from the previous generation Neo Beta is the Neo Gama's ear rings, which are more than just aesthetic feature. The company says lightweight loops “will provide real -time visual feedback for more intuitive and interactive experience”.
This reminds me of when agility robotics added a head On his digit robot, which was designed to help interact with a human robot. To be telegraphic to the surrounding people where he goes or what he does, the figure can simply turn his animated eyes in that direction, like man.
Agility added the head and eyes of digits to improve the interaction with the human robot.
In its videos, 1x does not reveal exactly how these ear rings will be used. However, I could have imagined them pointing to things like listening to the command and planning of the next action, as well as the charge status or the residual battery life.
