How is this a traditionLG is announcing several of its new OLED monitors ahead of CES 2025. All new UltraGear GX9 series feature curved WOLED panels, webOS, and a low-reflective anti-glare coating that makes them beautiful to look at no matter where you go.
LG is positioning the flexible 45GX990A OLED gaming monitor, or LG UltraGear, as the star of this new lineup. According to LG, it's a 45-inch flexible screen with 5K2K resolution that can go “from completely flat to 900R curvature in seconds.” Like the 32-inch LG UltraGear OLED introduced in 2023, this new model features the company's Dual Mode feature for quickly switching between resolution and refresh rate at the touch of a button, as well as a 0.03ms GtG response time for smoother images while doing so. decided to play games.
If you prefer a fixed screen, the LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor (45GX950A) offers you the same 45 inches of screen, plus a 21:9 aspect ratio, 5K2K resolution, and ultra-thin bezels. LG says the monitor also supports DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI2.1 and USB-C at 90W, and is certified to work with AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync.
The LG UltraGear 39GX90SA still offers a smaller (and likely more affordable) curved display option, but it measures 39 inches with a 21:9 aspect ratio. According to LG, the monitor's OLED panel means you'll get “subtle colors and deep, dark blacks,” and multiple USB-C ports mean you'll actually be able to connect the 39GX90SA to multiple devices at once. It might be nice to have a smaller option – finding some extra desk space for last year's chores. LG 49 UltraGear Gaming Monitor this was one of the biggest problems.
