TORONTO, Dec. 30, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AGF Investments Inc. (AGF Investments) (TSX:AGF.B) today announced the final December 2024 cash offering and annual 2024 capital gain offering for AGF Investments ETFs listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange or Cboe Canada Inc.
Unitholders of record of the AGF Investments ETF on December 31, 2024 will receive (i) the actual return of 2024 capital gains payable with respect to the AGF Investments ETF on December 31, 2024; and (ii) the December 2024 cash distribution payable in respect of the AGF Investments ETF on January 7, 2025. The actual taxable amounts for 2024, including tax attributes, will be reported in early 2025.
Annual distributions of reinvested capital gains reflect capital gains on AGF Investments ETFs and will not be paid out in cash, but will be reinvested in the form of estimated distributions and reported as tax exempt. A hypothetical allocation is when units from a reinvested allocation are immediately combined with units held prior to distribution. The number of units held after the distribution is therefore the same as the number of units held before the distribution. The unitholder's adjusted expense basis in the AGF Investments ETF separately may increase.
