The scenes of the merry soldiers in Khartoum have made significant progress in an offensive, in which the army of Sudan has seized the territory of the territory in recent months.
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) lost control of the capital at the beginning of the war and have been fighting for two years to regain it from the paramilitary forces for rapid support (RSF).
Now they have resumed the Presidential Palace and believe they are on their way to win the rest of the capital. But they are a long way to win the war.
The complex, which includes the historic Republican Palace, is a symbol of power and sovereignty, important to the government, led by the military and its story as legal rulers fighting the “terrorist militia”.
This is also a strategic victory.
After clearing the outer regions of Big Hardum, the army took much of the city center, pushing RSF fighters from key places like government buildings and away from the Main Headquarters, according to an army spokesman.
This means that RSF has virtually lost its control over the capital, although its fighters are still present in Khartoum.
But it is not clear how far the front line has moved. RSF fighters are still scattered around the city center and are located in part of the airport. They also occupy a territory south of the palace.
Bloody battles are expected to continue as the army tries to angular the remaining RSF units. The paramilitary forces have already shown that it can be struck, despite its weakened position by launching a drone attack in the palace, which killed a number of Sudanese journalists and officers from the army.
A complete victory of the army in the capital may reset the direction of war or solidify the territorial division that divides the country between the two enemies.
RSF, led by General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedi, controls the greater part of the Darfur region in West Sudan and parts of the south.
The military -supported government, led by Chief Army General Abdel Fatah Al Burhan, controls Eastern and North Sudan.

Complete Khartoum control can help the army complete its absorption at Central Sudan, where in recent months it has broken down from RSF.
He can also create an inertia for SAF to cause General Hemedi in his Darfur fortress, especially over the city of El Fasher, which has been under the siege of RSF for nearly a year.
But many observers believe that there is a danger that Sudan will become a de-fateful division, with the two warring parties and their supporters being strengthened in their areas of influence.
RSF is working to set up a parallel government in areas it controls, gathering allied groups to sign a political charter and constitution last month in Nairobi.
His intention was to show that despite the failures of the battlefield, it remains a powerful force – and that his desire to take control of the country remains unlimited.

Sudan's people have taken over the mainstream of this brutal civil war, which caused a large -scale death, destruction and violations of human rights to civilians.
The United Nations has identified the situation in the country as the world's largest humanitarian crisis. More than 12 million people have been forced to escape from their homes, and millions are faced with acute food shortages, with parts of the country being hungry.
Khartoum is one of the places that are expected to achieve hunger conditions soon, being widespread by RSF soldiers and restrictions on assistance from the Sudan government. So a change of power in the city can make a big change in humanitarian conditions there.
But for most Sudan people, this means that it is unlikely to change so far.
Both sides are accused of preventing emergency assistance by using it as a weapon of war, according to UN officials. Both have been charged with war crimes, although critics have separated RSF on allegations of mass rape and genocide.
The army will hope that the restoration of the Presidential Palace is a post for the width best military victory.
But although SAF has an inertia, it is unlikely that any country will achieve a victory that allows them to manage the whole Sudan, a recent report by the International Crisis Group said.
However, both sides vowed to continue to fight for the rest of the country and efforts to revive peace talks have failed so far.
