CNN anchor Scott Jennings called out Abby Phillip on Monday for criticizing billionaire Elon Musk's foreign business dealings while appearing unconcerned about the Biden family's foreign affairs.
Jennings and Phillips discussed the issue during Monday's “CNN NewsNight” schedule, Jennings rejecting the anchor's idea that Musk's foreign dealings should concern Americans and saying he is more concerned about the Bidens and Chinese.
“I have no worries about Elon Musk. I have been looking at pictures of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden meeting with political leaders in China recently that we are told that we are not there,” Jennings told Phillip.

CNN commentator Scott Jennings and web host Abby Phillip came under fire for criticizing Elon Musks foreign business dealings.
A CNN commentator was speaking newly discovered photos of Vice President Biden introduces his son Hunter Biden to Chinese President Xi Jinping and former Vice President Li Yuanchao. Other photos show Joe Biden posing with Hunter's business partners at BHR Partners, including Jonathan Li and Ming Xue.
The photos added more fuel to allegations that the younger Biden was selling his father's access to power to his foreign business partners.
The president has maintained that he “never spoke to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
Anchor prompted Jennings to respond by sharing articles from various sources reporting on Musk doing business with the Chinese government to have his Tesla cars built and sold overseas.
Other topics he shared in the interview included Musk praising the Chinese Communist Party during the 2021 anniversary as well as “secret talks with Vladimir Putin,” as reported by the Wall Street Journal earlier this year.
The commenter continued, noting that Musk's business ventures produce products of real value. On the other hand, he said the business dealings of the Biden family are not.

“For all the people who are upset that Elon Musk has a very successful international business that actually produces things – actually produces cars, rockets, or whatever they do – the Bidens don't produce anything but however, doing business in China,” he said.
Phillip got angry at Jennings, saying, “Look, I don't want you to change this because it's not really about whether he's a successful business person or not, it's about what his personal interests are.” as a business owner conflict with the national security interests of the United States.”
Also, Jennings denied that Musk is a threat to the US, noting that his business interests benefit the country.
My thoughts are his expectations and interests as a business owner and most of the things he's into – electric cars, rockets, the internet that we use around the world – it's good that the United States is be a repository for that,” he announced, adding, “It's good that our national security has this kind of technology.”

“The idea that somehow there is a conflict in the United States with this type of businessman, and somehow it's bad for us, I absolutely reject.”
