The Palestin Society Red Crescent has called for an independent international investigation into the murder of Israel by 15 emergency workers in South Gaza.
The organization released the full video found on the phone of one of its eight paramedics who died when the troops fired in a convoy from an ambulance on March 23, which says it was a “fully developed war crime”.
He urged those responsible to be held at the expense.
The Israeli military said on Monday that a preliminary investigation shows that troops were “opening fire due to a perceived threat after a previous meeting in the area and that six of the killed in the incident were identified as Hamas terrorists” without giving evidence.
The red crescent who survives, denied his colleagues connected to any armed groups.
The Israeli military initially stated that his troops fired at “suspicious vehicles” driving with excluded lights.
On Saturday, he admitted that the original version of the events was “wrong” after the last part of a paramedic video was released, showing that the convoy was using its emergency lights.
The bodies of the eight paramedics of the red crescent, six civil defense persons and one UN employee were restored from a shallow grave a week after their death, after the UN managed to get a safe passage into the area.
The 18-minute video, published on Monday, was filmed by Fielder Rifaat Radvan.
At the beginning of the footage, he may be heard to talk to his colleague Asaad al -Nasasra – whose fate remains unknown – since their ambulance is moving along a slit road at night.
Then the second ambulance approaches the other direction, and Radvan and Nasasra decide to travel with them in convoy after talking to his driver.
Later, a fire machine and a third ambulance – all with their flashing emergency lights, clearly visible – are seen to outrun the Radvan car shortly before they reach a van on the road.
The emergency vehicles are withdrawn and the sound from the shooting begins just when Radvan comes out. It lasts for more than five minutes and is heard, saying his last prayers before hearing the voices of Israeli soldiers.
The Red Crescent said on Wednesday that the video shows that “this is neither a random incident nor an individual mistake, but more recently a series of intentional attacks.”
“The first was an ambulance shooting on the road to evacuate victims after the home was bombed in the area of Al Hashashin.”
“This was followed by a direct attack on the civil defense ambulance convoy – despite the team, following all safety protocols – and then from directing the fourth ambulance, which was directed to support the others,” she added.
The public insisted that the area was not classified by the Israeli military as a “red zone”, which means that no preliminary coordination was needed to access the site and that the video shows that the Israeli military vehicles were not visible in the area.
He also said that preliminary forensic reports show that the medics were killed by “multiple firearms in the upper bodies”, which she described as “additional evidence of premeditated murder.”
At a press conference on the occupied West coast on Monday, President of the Society, Dr. Yunes Al-Khatib, called for an independent international investigation of the incident and for those responsible to be held accountable.
“We will pursue this question to the end. For us, these 15 men represent all who were killed for saving life, for humanity,” he said.
“And justice was not brought to them. We hope this time, and through these 15 men we can bring justice.”
Hatib rejected the investigation of the Israeli military, saying that society did not “trust” it to provide all answers to what had happened due to “previous experience”.
He also rejected the military's accusation that Hamas's operatives were among those killed, saying he had failed to prove even once every 50 years that the red crescent or his crew was carrying or using weapons. “
Later, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated in a statement that its head of staff, Leet Gen Aal for their, was presented with the findings of the initial investigation of the incident and instructed it to be “pursued at the greater depth” and completed in the coming days by the General Investigation mechanism of the generalism of the generalism of the generalism of the generalism of the generalism.
“All claims raised on the incident will be considered through the mechanism and will be presented detailed and thoroughly solved by how to deal with the event,” she added.
The Israeli military launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 were taken hostage.
Since then, more than 50,750 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry in the territory.
