Easy Trip Planners CEO Nishant Pitti has resigned and will be replaced by CFO Rikanth.


Nishant Pitti, co-promoter of Easy Trip Planners Ltd, parent company of online travel aggregator EaseMyTripResigned as CEO effective January 1, 2025 due to personal reasons.

On Monday evening, Nishant Pitti intends to divest the remaining 14% ownership of Easy Trip Planners through a block deal. However, only 1.4% of his shares were successfully sold on Tuesday.

Rikant Pittie, who was previously the CFO of the company and also Nishant's brother, has been appointed as the CEO with immediate effect.

On December 31, co-founder Nishant Pitt sold EasyTrip shares worth Rs 78.32 crore, resulting in a divestment of 4.99 crore shares or 1.41 per cent stake in the company. EaseMyTrip operates under the Easy Trip Planner brand.

After this transaction, Pitti's ownership in Easy Trip has reduced to 12.8 percent. Total promoter ownership has also decreased from 50.38 percent to 48.97 percent.

Besides, on September 25, Pitti sold 24.65 million shares, which was 14 per cent of the total share capital, at Rs 920 crore.

At 11.30 am, shares of Easy Trip were trading at Rs 15.75, down 0.76%.
