Since this is beta, I recommend downloading it only to something other than your primary device. This is not the final version of iOS 18.5, so the update can be convertible and battery life can be affected – it is best to keep these problems on the secondary device.
Note that beta is not the last version of iOS 18.5, so more features could land on your iPhone when released. There is no word on when Apple announces iOS 18.5 update to the general public.
Here's what can appear on your iPhone with iOS 18.5 soon. And just a reminder that only developers and beta -testers who have iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max or on Lining iPhone 16 You can access any features of Apple's intelligence so far. If you have another iPhone, you will not have access to those features.
iOS 18.5 Edit Mail Options
Uncheck the “Show Contact Photos” option to direct your inbox.
Apple has introduced several small mail app updates in Beta -IOS 18.5. One of those updates makes it easier to adjust the app settings by allowing you to display or hide contact photos by mail. Contact photos are pictures to the left of E -Mail and help identify them who sent them to be -lost.
Mail will display contact posters by default, but you can disconnect them from the application with iOS 18.5 beta. To do it, open MailTap the three points (…) in the upper right corner of your screen and tap Show contact photos. Now all yours is -will only show the thematic line and the message overview, similar to how the mail looked like iOS 18.
This option is in iOS 18.4 but is buried Settings And it's not easy to locate.
Another update refers to the categories. If you have a mode enabled, you can now see a small tab on the right side of your screen near other categories. Drag the category bar close to the top of the mail to the left, and this little tab will extend to detect the category The whole mail.
This category is not new and you can find it in iOS 18.4. But there was no small tab on the right side of your screen to signal that it was present outside the screen. Therefore, The whole mail It was flying under the radar – I didn't even know that the option was there next to this beta.
This category seems to be a way to simultaneously provide categories and overview of the pre-category mail lists. By eavesdropping The whole mailYou see your messages without any categorization, as the list will look.

Something else in beta stage?
Not that I can say, and I'm not surprised. World Conference on Apple Developers It is intended to happen in June, so iOS 18.5 is likely to remain rare, so Apple can focus on iOS 19.
But there will probably be more betts before iOS 18.5 are released, so there is plenty of time for Apple to change these features or add more. Apple has not announced when it will announce iOS 18.5 to the general public.
