Liverpool coach Arne Slot has said that defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is not bothered by rumors that he is going to Real Madrid.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is fully committed to Liverpool, his manager Arne Slot has said amid rumors of interest in England's right-back, including European champions Real Madrid.
Alexander-Arnold's contract with the Reds expires at the end of the season, so he has the right to sign a pre-contract with another club, outside of England, if he wants to.
Madrid are said to be interested in signing him and the Spanish club were rebuffed when they first made an inquiry about the 26-year-old at the end of December.
Slot was asked about how the defender met the media before Liverpool's game against Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, and said he had spoken to Alexander-Arnold but did not reveal anything.

When asked if Alexander-Arnold would stay at Liverpool beyond January, Slot simply replied, “I'm telling you he's playing on Sunday, and hopefully he'll bring back what he brought in the last half.
“Everyone saw how he was in the first half of the season, how much he is here, how much he wants to win here. I see him every day in the training ground … he is completely committed to us.” …
Slot added that he is sure that Madrid's pursuit of Alexander-Arnold does not affect the defender. “If it's going to affect the players at Liverpool to have other people talking about them, then we're going to have a problem,” Slot said. “Because if you play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, everyone is always, for 12 months, talking about you, sometimes about other clubs.
“This happens a lot to our players, so if this gets them down, we would have had a problem, not now but six months ago.”
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are also leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
