On Friday, investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) revealed that the soldier who carried out the blast appears to be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD.
“While this incident is more public and shocking than usual, it appears to be a tragic suicide story involving a suicidal soldier who was struggling with PTSD and other issues,” Spencer Evans, special agent in charge of the FBI, explained. at the press conference.
The FBI added that there was no evidence that the officer, 37-year-old Matthew Livelsbergerhe was interested in opposing President-elect Donald Trump, although the outburst was obvious and extensive.
Cybertrucks are manufactured by Tesla, an electric car company founded by Trump supporter Elon Musk.
The coroner's report indicates that Livelsberger died by suicide shortly before the explosion. His body was found in the burning remains of a Cybertruck, and a gun was found by his feet.
The explosion caused a lot of attention on New Year's Day, when the US dealt with an alleged “terrorist” in New Orleans. killed 14 people.
Seven people were slightly injured when a rental Cybertruck exploded in the valet parking area outside the glass doors of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas later that day.

Friday's press conference coincided with the release of documents Livelsberger left behind, detailing what led to his outburst.
In the post, Livelsperger – a Green Beret in the army who served in Afghanistan and other areas – described the need to “cleanse my mind” on the “treasure of the lives I took”.
“This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake,” Livelsperger said. “Americans only watch demonstrations and violence. It's a better way to get my point across than just having fireworks and explosives.”
A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Livelsperger has served in the military in various capacities since 2006, earning five Bronze Stars for his actions.
He was on official leave when he committed suicide.
A suspect in the New Orleans attack, Shamsud-Din Jabbarhe was also a soldier. He deliberately drove a rented Ford to a New Year's Eve party on Bourbon Street, before being killed in a shootout with police.
No connection has been found between the two events, although researchers say they are investigating every possible possibility.
On Friday, Livelsperger's former girlfriend, nurse Alicia Arritt, told The Washington Post that the Green Beret was deeply responsible for his experiences in the war.
He suspects that his symptoms, which include foggy memories, may be the result of a head injury or physical injury.
“He wanted a lot of help,” Arritt told the Post in an interview. “I think it was very difficult for him, to be at work – the shame and stigma.”
A neighbor, Cindy Helwig, told The Associated Press that she remembers Livelsperger coming to her recently to get a tool to fix his SUV.
