About 39,000 John Deere ZTrak mowers with Kawasaki engines are being recalled in the United States.
The recall was announced Thursday by Kawasaki Motors USA. According to a, the “fire and burn hazards” potentially created by the engines caused it Recall notice Published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Kawasaki Motors USA said in the notice that the voltage regulators inside the motors “may fail during use or during product maintenance, causing the motor to overheat.”

According to CSPC's notice, consumers “should immediately stop using the recalled lawn mowers” until they can be repaired.
Ford is recalling nearly 400,000 trucks, SUVs and other vehicles for various reasons.
Lawnmowers equipped with a Kawasaki engine with the model number Z720E, Z730M, Z740R or Z760R have a special serial number under their seat and on the right side of the machine near the rear tire.

“We strive to ensure that John Deere products are of exceptional quality,” John Deere said on its recall webpage. “If there is a recall or product improvement program for a John Deere product, we will do our best to get that important information to you as soon as possible.”

Kawasaki said in the recall notice that the recalled mowers will be repaired free of charge.
