Trump orders re -opening the notorious prison in alkatraz

Donald Trump says he directs his government to open again and expands Alcatraz, the former prison on an island off the coast of California.

In a message on his social site about the truth on Sunday, President Trump said “too long America has been struck by vicious, violent and repetitive criminals.”

The re -opening of Alcatraz would serve as “a symbol of law, order and justice,” he said.

The prison was closed in 1963 and the island of Alcatraz is currently working as a tourist site. It is located near the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco.

“Today, I direct the prison desk, together with the Ministry of Justice, the FBI and the Homeland Security, to open an expanded and restored alkatraz again,” Trump wrote.

The prison will “shelter the most unhappy and abusers in America.”

President Trump is confronted with the courts over his policy of sending alleged band members to a prison in El Salvador. In March, he sent a group of over 200 alleged members of the Venezuelan band there. He also talked about sending “home criminals” to foreign prisons.

Alcatraz was originally a naval defense fortress and was Restored in the early 20th century as a military prison. The Ministry of Justice took it in the 1930s and he began to accept convicted by the federal prison system. His more famous prisoners were the notorious gangsters Al Capone, Mickey Cohen and George Carken Pistol Kelly.

The prison is also known by the 1962 movie, Burdman of Alcatraz, with the participation of Burt Lancaster, for the convicted killer Robert Stroud, who, while serving a life sentence on prison island, develops interest in birds and continues to become an expert ornithologist.

It was also the place of the 1996 movie The Rock, starring Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage, for a former SAS captain and a FBI chemist who saves hostages from Alcatraz Island.

The prison closed because it was too expensive to continue working, according to the Federal Prison Bureau website. It was almost three times more expensive to work than any other federal prison, to a large extent because of its location on the island.
