A supposed Florida thief has swallowed stolen earrings worth more than half a million dollars before police arrested him last week.
Orlando police have accused the man, 32-year-old Jaytan Guilder, for lying to the employees of Tiffany & Co. At a Florida store, telling them that he was a “professional athlete”, which made employees show him “a few pieces of high value.”
Then Gilder supposedly stole the earrings and runs out of the store.
When, later on the same day, employees caught up with him, they saw G -n Guilder swallow several objects that were thought to have been stolen, “police said.
G -n Gilder has tried to steal two pairs of earrings worth $ 769,500 (597,000 pounds), as well as a diamond ring that is supposedly released until he escapes from the store.
Later, police released an X-ray that appears to show the abdomen of the individual with a foreign object inside.
Asked by the BBC, the Orlando police did not say if they had extracted jewelry.
Police also said that G -n Guilder had stolen from Tiffany & Co before, robbing a Texas store in 2022.
There are also 48 separate orders for his arrest in the nearby Colorado.
Police have accused G -n Guild of Mask robbery and a large first -degree theft, including stolen goods worth over $ 100,000. He is assumed to have innocent until it is proven to be guilty of court.
