The Nantucket Current reported last year that the previous owners offered Vaccaro the home for just $200,000 after receiving an “unexpected call” from him. Property records seen Friday listed its assessed value at nearly $1.3 million.
According to the outlet, they weren't listed for sale before his offer because they said they “don't want to sell to anybody when you know a hurricane could blow it away next week.”
Vaccaro said in a statement told FOX Business in early July of last year, shortly after moving house, that he had “no illusions that the house would stay put for more than a year, and he bought it under the assumption that it would be on the water.” until spring 2025.”
