A woman disappears when the police find a car in a ditch, arresting the driver in a mysterious case


The family of a Despicable Alabama woman is repeating pleas for help from police after a 39-year-old family member went missing last week.

The Hamilton Police Department said Chastity Ann Terry was last seen on January 10 around 1:30 a.m. out of Guin, Alabama.

Officials noted that Terry “may be living with a condition that could impair his judgment.”

The Hamilton Police Department said that 39-year-old Chastity Ann Terry was last seen on Thursday, Jan. 9 and could be in the Hamilton, Bear Creek, Jasper, or Interstate 22 corridor areas. (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Public Information Center)

Hamilton Police Chief Jordan Carter said Terry was last seen with Charles David Williams Jr. 49 at the Love's gas station on Interstate 22.

“And Terry left with this Love's Jasper man, and continued on I-22 west from that location,” he said. “We believe he was in a vehicle that was in the ditch on I-22 near Exit 22, which is County Road 45.”

On Tuesday, police announced that they had impounded the vehicle in which Terry was last seen and arrested the driver.

“Our investigators are working hard to find Sanity,” police said.

Authorities have not released details if Williams' arrest is related to Terry's disappearance. WBMA-LD reported that the two went to the Birmingham area to buy drugs.

In a Facebook post, his sister asked for the public's help to find Terry.

“A MAN must know something, or even just feel something,” wrote Carrie Galbreath. “Please contact one of us immediately if you do!! We want our sister home!”

Terry is described as 5'6″ and 160 lbs. with strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes.
