Fatah has banned Al Jazeera from reporting from the Jenin government.
Al Jazeera Media Network has condemned the “incentive campaign” launched by Fatah in the West Bank against Al Jazeera and its journalists, particularly against journalist Mohamad Atrash.
Network in a words he said the “evil” campaign was launched because it involved clashes between the Palestinian National Security Forces and Palestinian fighters in Jenin.
This comes after the Palestinian National Liberation Movement, Fatah, which controls the Palestinian Authority, announced a ban on Al Jazeera's services in the Jenin governorate because of its activities. the spread of violence that continues with the PA security forces on Palestinian fighters in Jenin.
“The network has been and remains a platform for Opinions and Other Opinions and experts in its reliable and impartial reporting. Al Jazeera has maintained its expertise in reporting what is happening in Jenin,” the network said.
“The voices of Palestinian resistance and the Spokesman of the Palestinian Authority have been appearing on Al Jazeera shows,” he said.
Al Jazeera went on to say that such a campaign could put its correspondents at risk.
“The Network holds Fatah, the Palestinian National Security Forces, and the relevant bodies of the Palestinian Authority accountable for any problems that may be faced by Mohamad Atrash or any Al Jazeera journalists in the occupied West Bank.”
Fatah said Al Jazeera was playing a “dangerous role” in broadcasting the conflict, which spread “discord” and infighting between Palestinian factions, according to a statement published by Jordan-based Roya News on Monday.
The group also asked Palestinians to pass through the occupied territories to avoid doing anything with the networks.
