A man from Edmonton was attacked at a Dominican Republic resort bar, he is out of a coma in the hospital.
Cindy Rowan says he has relinquished his son Chase Delorem-Rown, talking for the first time since January 14, when he was slapped on the ground during his 18th birthday celebrating family holidays.
She says doctors are still trying to find out when she can replace her scalp pieces that were removed so that her swelling can be recovered from the brain room – then throw it.
“He is really talking well and is not hurt. He is happy, and he makes a lot of jokes,” Ravan said.
“Doctors are trying to train his brain, as some part of it is still dead.”

He said it was difficult to tell him what happened.
