Amazon says it offers its “full support” to an employee who was injured in New Orleans terrorist attackafter the victim told the press that he had been denied convalescent leave and feared he would have to find a new job.
The company and founder Jeff Bezos came under fire on social media Friday morning for a report NOLA.com About Alexis Scott Windham, an Amazon worker who survived after being hit by a truck that drove into a crowd on Bourbon Street and was also shot in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Amazon said when FOX Business reached out for comment company Just found out Friday morning that Scott Windham mistakenly requested the wrong type of leave and the company is fixing it.
“We have reached out to Ms. Scott Wyndham to offer her full support, including payment, as she recovers from this senseless act of violence,” Amazon spokeswoman Kelly Nantel said in a statement. We wish him a full recovery and look forward to his return to work.
