American Airlines on Tuesday lifted a nationwide grounding after it reported a widespread “technical issue” affecting all flights. Busy holiday travel.
The airline said in a statement that the stoppage lasted for about an hour and that all flights have since resumed.
“A vendor technology issue briefly affected flights this morning,” the statement said. “This issue has been resolved and flights have resumed. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience this morning. It's all hands on deck as our team works diligently to get customers where they need to be as soon as possible.” They have to go.”

Morgan McMahon, of Texas, told Fox News Digital that he was sitting on a plane at LaGuardia Airport in New York when the captain made the announcement.
“Sat in the plane,” McMahon said. “The captain announced that the first computer had failed due to the counterweight. He said, 'Maybe 5 to 10 minutes late. About 15 minutes later, he announced that the entire AA system was down.'” “
McMahon, who was trying to fly home to Texas, said he would continue to fly American Airlines despite the disruption to his trip.

“They could put some sort of monetary credit on my account (to compensate for the inconvenience),” McMahon told Fox News Digital. “That wound is fine. $100 and I'll be fine.”
